I Wear America:
our story

I Wear America started with the dream and desire of Ron Witt and George Moody to provide their customers with a different selection of frames than was currently available.

Ron and George both have life long careers as opticians with a combined experience of over 60 years. Over the years they have become very passionate in fitting frames, troubleshooting eyewear problems and giving the customer what they need in eyewear.

During their search for the right design/frame and manufacturing/production they partnered with key experienced American production experts to provide business and manufacturing support. The new team FELT the passion and excitement of the DREAM. An existing manufacturing facility eventually became the center for design, manufacturing, and production.

And so it is, I Wear America is launching their first line of frames about five years after the idea was conceived. The Freedom Collection was named appropriately to reflect the freedom it will give individuals to choose just the right shape and color for themselves without a “one-size-fits-all” approach. Each of the 12 colors were handpicked by George and Ron so that many of the color combinations blend when together. The 12 lens shapes are all unique and again designed by George and Ron to fit a variety of face shapes and sizes.

I Wear America is a partnership that had a dream to bring frame design and manufacturing back to the United States. We are proud to be made in the USA!
